The idea behind this is about death and soul. Dead bodies fall from the real world and land on the top of the pool (top of image where you see skeleton). Extracts, or the essence of life, gradually go into the pool and with all the glyphs around, soul (the smoke) starts to rise and form something. Is it the essence of new life or the ghosty existence? This is an image I did for my architectural thesis project, as a starting point for an architectural design (for a Visual Art center). The image depicts the site and circulation flow, revealing how surfaces are folded up and form spaces. Light in physical form. I modelled something like a tube and I was inspired. It was originally white structure but I played with the renderings much to create the overall shading and lighting effect.
